Now let's try a Kittys update photo:

OOOH! It worked!

Feeling more sick. I keep sneezing & my ears are popping.

I already warned Greg I might be out Friday, seeing as it will be crap weather again.

Now for some stitching.

Blah!

Last night I had to go to the Planning board re: the re-zoning, and ride Axie beforehand.
I'm also starting to come down with Emily's cold/flu thing.
I've been reading other bloggers have been sick- we must be spreading germs.
I bought 2 different fleeces to make Axie soem jammies: flames and a plaid. I'll (someday) take pictures & post.
I started Bent Creek's Snowbound at work today, and finished up the third of my ornaments. Again, pix to follow.......someday.
I need to get to bed.

Just Swell ;(

Some blogger I turned out to be- it's been over a week and this is just a guilt post.
8 hours at the shit mines Saturday & another 6 yesterday. I was wiped. Saturday night on the couch my feet started cramping.
Yesterday was Nascar. I really have to get a reading lamp so I can stitch if Bob is going to have that car racing death-by-boredom thing on. I believe they said that there's no racing next week- two weeks until "Las Vegas". I'll have to get 'The Departed", seeing as it won some Oscars and all.
Still haven't loaded the software for my camera on the computer; I should take photos of my progress on Kittys- i finished the body of the house and started filling in the windows last Thursday.
I should ride tonight, Emily thinks she wants to try for MHC finals. I think that means the BF should be shit-canned.
I will try to post later with some pix.
Mea Culpa re: my blogging (or non-blogging) skills.

Woo-Hoo!!

I've contacted my Irish friend Denis to finally visit ireland. i'm taking my mom, who has always wanted to go.
THEN- Bob at the barn gave me a digital camera! A Nikon 3100. It's been refurbished/re-conditioned, but it has all its stuff, and it's just what I can use.
Now I can take photos of my stuff- no more scans!!
I still have to load the software, and i have to get a battery re-charger.
I'm so psyched -i was starting to look into gettign something for my trip (see first sentence), and the least i could get away with was around $140.
Bob's finger looks terrible- it's getting bruised looking, and still swollen. He can't even bend it.
I made a rotisserie chicken for dinner today. It was excellent , as always (not due to any extra effort on my part- it's the machine who gets the credit), but I have a butt-load (have you seen my butt lately??!!) of dishes to wash now.
and I'm SO tired!!! Another weekend of NO stitching.
All day long shoveling shit, and i dream about the stitching I want to be doing. Then i get home too exhausted and/or with too many other chores left to do and not enough energy to do them with. My hands are sore & chapped, and Chicken constantly wants to go out to pee after she has to waste 15 minutes of my life (on a multi-daily basis) sniffing every frickin blade of grass in the yard.
Speaking of which..........
SIGH!
Gotta go.

In An Effort to be Brief...

Here's my progress on Kittys from tonight:

This almost looks upside down-Hmm- funny.

And here's Christmas Sampler sans charm & ironing (and not in that order):

we had a fun night. i regaled with stories of the Tripp's dumb sheep.

I got Chinese food for supper, and another pair of Eddy Baur jeans for $10, and another hooded sweatshirt for work (and warmth!)

Oh- and I worked on Wish ornie at lunch- i forgot to take it out for a scan. LAter post, i guess- oops- Gray's Anatomy is on now!

A well deserved day off:

I had a snow day today, although we got barely a half inch of snow. I almost guilted myself into going to work, except work is 30 miles north into the cold & snowier conditions, so I snuggled under the covers until 7:30. I haven't done that since Xmas week!
I gave CHicken a bath and blow dry, made the beds, mounted my TW Fruit bellpull on my floorstand so i can finally put the backstitching & beads in the border. This piece has been under plastic wrap on top of my TV for probably 5 years, if not longer.
Then I started getting water drips inside my bay window from the ceiling, so I had to go out & dig all the packed snow dregs from the gutter & pour hot water in to get all the rain flowing. In the 9 years here, thta's never happened before. My paltry handiman efforts appear to have been successful- the drips stopped.
I had to go to the barn because the blacksmith was coming to put new shoesies on the horsie.
When I got back Emily had written an email about her poor bedraggled wet mis-adventures getting to classes today. She was so depressed she was thinkning of skipping chocolate nite at the dinner hall, so i offered to get her candy at the drugstore. Boy- everyone had the same idea- I couldn't even find a parking space.
I'm very worried about Bob- he somehow got a serious infection in his middle finger of his bad hand- the finger is swollen at least double what it should be. The ER dr. prescribed him an antibiotic, which, had he gotten it filled & started taking it, would have put him into convulsions or killed him. He got a different Rx the next day, and the infection hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten much better either. He has an app't tomorrow or Friday with a specialist. He's hoping to get a referral to a real dr in Boston- the one who did the surgery a long time ago.
Carol http://carolsxsblog.blogspot.com/, had some nice fabrics for sale to help with her kitties vet bills. (I know there's a way to substitute Carol's name for the hyperlink, but no one's informed me yet how to do that). She had a nice pink- that looks like it'll match Emily's comforter set at school, that I can use for the Eiffel tower chart. It was only $8. Then, she had a piece of 32 ct. Silkweavers in "Stormy-something" for $15, so I got that as well.
I can't wait to receive them.
I love Carol's blog- I think it's my favorite. She updates everyday, with photos of her rotation. Her Paradigm Lost is just stunning. I'm going to have to start that soon.
Carol in fact is the person who suggsted I start blogging.
Maybe if i didn't feel so compelled to make each entry a mini-novella, i wouldn't angst so much about making an entry.
OH!- I finished Christmas Sampler at lunch yesterday- except for the charm. I will post a pix later. Meantime- here's the Fall Floral Sampler I finished a couple of weeks ago- it needs ironing:

Well, seeing as I haven't stitched a single 'X" today, I will try before Lost comes on tonight. I guess i'll work on my Wish ornament.

Suck, Suck Suck!!

I'm OCD-ing about preparing my tax returns (Emily's too) so that I can THEN do my CSSPRofile & Fafasa.

I just did my return and I'll get a good refund, however I relaized while scanning my Xmas Sampler update that I didn't adjust for cash payments Em & the AF made.

Suck- REDO!

Colts won the SuperBowl-Suck #2!

No stitching this wekend-Suck #3- no time long story but here's the latest on Xmas Sampler:

I'll be angsting over tax-related documents the next few days- I can't be beholden to the blog with that crap hanging over my head. I'll try to get back soon.

Oh- and SUCK #4: bossman has been at work way too much so no stitching there either.
